BritRail Pass purchase

Bought a BritRail England Pass. Process was fast. Got my confirmation. All good. Site was a little cluttered.

So easy to use!

I ordered the London Pass for my trip, and it was so simple to use once I got to London! Everything worked just as described for the Tower of London and Westminster Abbey. It definitely saved me time and money. I will absolutely buy from here again for my next UK adventure and tell all my friends!

Convenient, but could improve

I purchased Heathrow Express Tickets and also tickets for the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London. The convenience of getting both from one place was a major plus. Delivery of the e-tickets was instant, which I appreciated. However, finding specific details about the tour departure points was a little tricky on the website; I had to search a bit. Overall, a good experience, but the site navigation could be clearer in some areas.

Reliable for UK travel passes

I've used VisitBritain a few times now, mainly for BritRail passes. This time I got the BritRail Spirit of Scotland Pass. It was just as easy as my previous purchases, which is great. The reliability is why I keep coming back; I know I'll get my tickets without any hassle. Shipping for the physical pass took about 5 days to reach me in New York, which was a bit longer than I expected.

Good for London tickets

Got my Tower of London tickets here for my trip next month. It was pretty straightforward. The price seemed decent, and I got the confirmation email right away. No fuss, really. It felt like a solid choice for booking stuff for London. The site was a bit slow to load some pages, though.

Great value for Stonehenge

This was my first time buying from VisitBritain. I was looking for the best deal on Stonehenge Tours and found a good price here, especially with the multi-attraction bundle option. It felt like a significant saving compared to booking each thing separately. The booking process was smooth, and I got my e-tickets quickly. I just wish the tour times were a bit more flexible.

So easy to plan my trip!

I bought the London Pass for my upcoming trip, and it's fantastic! The website was super easy to navigate, and getting the pass was quick. I can't wait to use it at all the attractions. Definitely shopping here again for future UK trips, it made planning so much less stressful. Only wish they had more options for airport transfers included.

Hey, anyone bought the London Pass through this site? Just wondering if it's actually legit or if I should just buy it directly from the London Pass website.

H Hannah Johnson 1 month ago
Yeah, totally legit. It's the official tourism shop for the UK. Used them for my Oyster card and some attraction tickets last year, no problems.

B Betty Williams 1 month ago
It's safe, I got my BritRail pass from them a couple of years back. They're the British Tourist Authority's shop, so you're good.

Does anyone know if it's better to get the Visitor Oyster Card or just a London Travelcard? What's the main difference?

A Amanda T. 1 month ago
Oyster is more flexible, you top it up and only pay for what you use. Travelcard is for unlimited travel within certain zones for a specific period. If you're there for a short time and plan to travel a lot, Travelcard might save you a bit. Oyster is good for longer trips or if you're not going to be on public transport constantly.

I went with the Oyster card for my last trip. You can just tap and go, and it caps your daily spend so you don't overpay. Travelcard is good if you know you'll be hitting the tube constantly for a few days straight.

Are there any student discounts for things like the London Pass or some of the bigger attractions? Don't see a clear option anywhere.

S Stephanie Lewis 3 weeks ago
They don't always have a straight-up student discount for everything. Sometimes it's part of a multi-attraction bundle that gives you savings, or check if you can get a newsletter sign-up offer.

I didn't find a student discount when I bought my London Pass. They do have child fares and sometimes group discounts, though. Best bet is checking for those bundle deals.

Thinking of getting tickets for the Warner Bros Studio Tour for Harry Potter, but worried about getting them in time. I'm in New York, how long does shipping usually take for physical tickets?

D David Torres 3 weeks ago
They typically send physical stuff like the Oyster Card by post, but for most attraction tickets like the Harry Potter one, they're usually e-tickets or you pick them up. So, no shipping wait for those afaik.

J James Thompson 3 weeks ago
I think a lot of the tickets are electronic these days, so you just print them or use your phone. Check the specific product page, but I don't remember waiting for anything to be mailed for my Tower of London tickets.

Hey, I'm planning a trip for next summer. Is it worth buying BritRail or London Pass tickets now, or should I wait for Black Friday/seasonal sales?

G Grace H. 1 month ago
They definitely have Black Friday and seasonal sales. For rail passes, early bird booking sometimes gets you a discount too. If you're sure about your dates, waiting for a sale could save you 10-15% maybe.

M Melissa R. 1 month ago
I'd keep an eye out around Black Friday or even for their summer sales. They usually have some decent deals, especially for passes or attraction bundles. I got a good discount on my heritage pass that way.

Hey, thinking of getting a London Pass for my trip next month. Is it worth it for like 5 days or should I just buy individual tickets for attractions?

T Thomas Torres 1 month ago
Definitely worth it for 5 days if you plan on seeing a lot. I used one last year and saved a bunch compared to separate tickets. Just do the math for what you actually want to visit.

T Tim H. 1 month ago
Depends on what you wanna do. If you're hitting all the major spots, probably. But if you're only doing 2-3 big ones, maybe not. Check their site for the included attractions and calculate.

Does VisitBritain ever do Black Friday sales? Planning a trip for next summer and trying to save some cash.

M Michelle Flores 1 month ago
Yeah, they usually have some deals around Black Friday. I remember seeing stuff for tours and passes last year, so keep an eye out.

M Matt Smith 1 month ago
They do sometimes! Not always for everything, but it's worth checking their newsletter closer to the date. That's where I usually see the good offers.

Can I cancel my booking if my plans change? What's their refund policy like for tickets?

O Olivia 4 weeks ago
It really depends on the ticket. Some are totally non-refundable, others you can cancel but maybe with a fee. You'll need to check the specific product's terms before you buy. I had to cancel a tour once and got most of my money back, but it wasn't a last-minute thing.
3
I Ian Lee 3 weeks ago
They do have a cancellation policy, but it's not super straightforward for everything. I think for most things you can, but it might not be a full refund depending on how close to the date you cancel. Read the fine print for the specific tickets you're looking at.
